Regional governor Edwin Licona and provincial mayor Carlos Moscoso spoke about the “cabinet of reconciliation” that will shape President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.
Licona said that in addition to appointing his new ministers, the president should emphasize the decentralization of resources so that the poorest of the country benefit.
“Reconciliation is not between de facto centralistic powers, reconciliation means decentralizing resources to the poorest people,” he said.
The authority reported that in the coming hours, the 25 regional governors of the country will sit a position on the issue of decentralization.
For his part, Mayor Moscoso stressed that among the new faces voiced for the new ministerial team are not militant Fujimori, but sympathizers who at some point backed the coup and agree to the pardon.
“Most are independent, but some backed Fujimori’s coup and today pass the pardon. I think it’s a cabinet of reconciliation but without Fujimori. ”
He highlighted the possible ratification of Carlos Bruce in the Ministry of Housing and Construction, since several projects are underway for Cusco.
