Rafting Urubamba River 1D

A full day at the Sacred Valley, with a stay in the river two to three hours. In the afternoon you can visit the archaeological sites of the surroundings. This alternative is ideal for tourists with little time and little experience in this sport.
The routes are varied, but the most recommended is the one that includes the Sacred Valley in Urubamba Calca, offering three sections that can be performed one per day:
Huambutio – Pisac
Considered the most popular section or section and easier to perform. It does not require any previous experience or special physical fitness, nor of any specialized equipment, provided that this river walk on the months of May to September. The rapids are short and little technical difficulty. This does not mean that lack appeal.
Urubamba – Boca de Sapo
This part offers more adventure and more rapids than in the first section. Overall the tour is more varied and faster water. It is faster, but not dangerous.
Rapids Huarán
This is the most exciting section of Urubamba. Located an hour and a half from the Imperial City. The tour means pure adrenaline and large streams. You need some experience and there is considerable risk, but the journey can only be done in the dry season, from June to September.
This section of the river is actually medium difficulty, but high technical level, the quality of operations they can perform kayakers. The kayak is part of Boating, although it is a totally different mode. It is a small boat with a capacity of one person, that given its size and weight allows fast through whose degrees of difficulty are higher and perform maneuvers that would be impossible in a normal raft.
