Sacred valley of the inkas

The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo and can be accessed from the city of Cusco. This valley has geographical and climatic qualities that were very special for the Incas.
The Incas made the valley one of the main points of agricultural production due to the richness of their lands. In addition, there is the place where the best corn grain in Peru is produced. It has an unparalleled historical wealth and also houses three of the most important typical craft markets of Cusco: Písaq, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero.
THE INCAS’ SACRED VALLEY
ITINERARY:
The tour starts with the pick-up from your hotel at 08:30 a.m., starting the full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the bus will take us to the first archaeological site that is Pisaq, impressive construction built in the period of the Inca Empire’s boom. Here we can observe the great work accomplished by the Incas, through an endless number of agricultural terraces that adorn virtually all the mountains around them. In the center of the temple of Pisaq, we can observe an Intiwatana and fine buildings inhabited by the Inca nobility 500 years ago.
After our visit to this ancient Inca citadel, we will visit the modern town of Pisaq, which is located on the right bank of the Urubamba River, and is populated almost entirely by the descendants of the Incas. Here we will visit a picturesque artisan market, and we will be able to see how the people of this place until today. Mchu Picchu Tour Peru maintains the tradition of exchanging its things or food, just as they did in the past. From there we will go to Urubamba to enjoy a typical buffet lunch in a Tourist Restaurant. Then continue the trip to Ollantaytambo where we will visit the majestic archaeological group that is preserved there. We return to Cusco via Chinchero town rich in culture and archeology where we will also visit its typical market and the archaeological site.
