Machu picchu full day
INTINERARY:
To start the tour to Machu Picchu, one must be at least one day before departure in the city of Cusco at 1200 kms. to the south east of Lima (Peru). You can visit it only by the railroad (in trains) and the other one walking by the ancestral “Inca Trail” in two or four days, in this tour we will use only the train service.
Description of the excursion to Machu Picchu.
We will pass by your hotel in the city of Cusco 1 hour before the departure of your train, and we will take you to the train station, located in the town of Ollantaytambo, then we will board the train of the company “PERURAIL” and we will start the trip from Ollantaytambo – Cusco to the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2000 msnm) approximately that lasts 4 hours, where our guide will be waiting for you, with the we will go to the bus station, to ascend 400 m high, for a zigzag road, for 30 minutes until you reach the incredible world wonder “The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.
Upon reaching the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will go through the control, where we will deliver our income tickets and where we will begin our guided tour, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the famous Intiwatana, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, approximately for more than two hours. Then you will be given free time, to take a walk around the citadel and take your food, in one of the varied restaurants, in the town of Aguas Calientes or if you want at the Hotel Santuary Lodge (lunch is on your own).
In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco, the return will follow the same journey as the outward journey and upon arrival at the train station, we will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel.
