Ausangate considered the fifth highest mountain in Peru, with its imposing 6384 (msnm) for centuries has received many names; “Flag of the Inca Capital”, “Vinicunca Cerro de Colores”, “Vinicunca ceiling Inka”, Nevado del Inca etc. Located in the district of Pitumarca, province of Canchis, department of Cusco in southern Peru, The simple fact of walking, being surrounded by its landscape, Flora, Fauna and its wildlife gives us a feeling of comfort that is worth the walk and in the end the best experience little seen in the world THE MOUNTAIN OF COLORS.
ITINERARY
Pick up from your hotel 5:00 AM with our private transport and equipped for the trip we go to the detour of Checacupe about 2 hours, from there we go to Pitumarca ½ hour up and the road is paved and we start by the road to Quesoyuni (community Chilca) 7: 1/2 AM Where we will take a comfort breakfast to begin our walk, we prepare ourselves with leg stretching. We will make a very demanding ascent until we reach the Palomichayoc pass located at approximately 5050 meters above sea level. (Ausangate) where we will receive a good and well-deserved rest, to enjoy and delight in our eyes a unique view of the Glacier on the south side of the Nevado in addition to the red sandstone formations of the picturesque colorful mountain (Vinicunca) where we will stay 30 – 50 minutes to take photos .11: 00 AM we start descending to (Quellwa Ccocha) 1:30 pm where we will have a break for boxlunch, we continue with the descent to Punto de Carretera (Quesoyuni) where our mobility awaits us that will bring us back to Cusco .
